Outlander PHEV leads Mitsubishi Motors September sales
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV leads Mitsubishi Motors September sales helping the company record 2,058 deliveries last month.
Since Outlander PHEV’s debut last December, the world’s best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV has become a runaway success in Canada. Year-to-date Outlander PHEV sales have totaled 4,402.
Mitsubishi RVR compact crossover delivered 444 sales, followed by Mitsubishi Outlander compact SUV at 409 units and Eclipse Cross at 391 units. Mirage hatchback and G4 sedan subcompact models notched 260 deliveries. September sales are down 0.5 per cent and year-to-date sales are up 15 per cent over last year with 20,086 units sold in 2018.
“We continue to see strong demand for Outlander PHEV and as Canadian’s start to think about winter driving the vehicle’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) 4WD system will help further differentiate it in the sport utility and EV segments,” said Kathryn Soubliere, senior manager, Sales Operations. “Our leading S-AWC technology, offered across our lineup of SUVs, is a key purchase reason for Mitsubishi Motors customers.”
