Hyundai's 2020 Sonata Hybrid just debuted with some ridiculous range
Hyundai revealed the 2020 Sonata hybrid at the Chicago auto show this past week, showcasing a much-improved range to go with the good looks of the standard gas model.
Powering the Sonata is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that makes just 150 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque.
But connected to that engine is a 51-horsepower electric motor, which also provides an extra 151 lb-ft of torque. In total, the system makes 192 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
The power is sent through a six-speed automatic gearbox with Active Shift Control, which can shift 30 per cent faster than previously.
