Ford plans to build two electric crossovers at its Michigan plant

Ford plans to built two electric crossovers in Michigan for the 2023 model year, moving the production from its original planned location in Mexico, according to Automotive News.

The publication, which cited sources “with knowledge of Ford’s plans,” said the battery-electric crossovers will be similarly-sized to the Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus.

They will be built in Flat Rock Assembly in Michigan, rather than in Cuautitlan, Mexico as originally announced.
