Tesla Model X Over 22% More Efficient On Winter Highway Than Audi e-tron Or Jaguar I-PACE
Just in case anyone needs yet more proof that the much vaunted “Tesla killers” are really all bark and no bite, here’s more real-world proof from EV rental specialists nextmove.
They show the Tesla Model X is vastly more efficient than the alleged “competition” in highway driving conditions. It seems Audi and Jaguar still have more homework to do to get to passing grade on the basics of EV engineering, but let’s give them some points for showing up.
The German EV rental company nextmove has just conducted a simultaneous real-world winter highway efficiency test of the three premium electric SUVs — the Tesla Model X, Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-PACE — at average speeds of 120 km/h.
Subjected to the exact same driving conditions, the Audi was down in energy efficiency (kWh/100 km) almost 23% compared to the Tesla Model X, whilst the I-PACE was 26% down. Check out nextmove’s short but information-packed video for more (comes with dedicated English subtitles)
