Another great success for MEVS 2024!
More than 80 exhibitors, 69 motor vehicles at the booths, 23 automobile brands, 80 vehicles on road tests for a total of more than 2,000 car and SUV tests with nearly 4,000 people on board in addition to 3,000 small vehicle tests on the indoor track, these are impressive statistics for the 7th edition of the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show (MEVS).
Between Friday 11 a.m. and Sunday 5 p.m., exactly 31,618 visitors circulated through the various exhibition halls made available to visitors at the Olympic Stadium, which represents a very good turnout given the announcements of the change of site caused by the renovation the roof, the fire that took place a few weeks ago and the economic context with current interest rates. However, it must be admitted that the announced end of subsidies and the increase in the price of gasoline had a positive effect on ridership.
The numerous works and the cold temperature of this early spring have not dampened the enthusiasm of the population of Greater Montreal for electric vehicles. The major manufacturers went out of their way to present magnificent kiosks to visitors, which made for a very beautiful edition despite the challenges it caused. The event promoters, exhibitors and visitors are extremely satisfied.
The 8th edition of MEVS will be held in spring 2025, in a location to be determined soon. Be there at our next meeting!
