Tesla’s ‘miracle cure’ for high prices
Battery costs may not be coming down, but that doesn’t mean Elon Musk hasn't found a way to cut manufacturing costs.
It’s no secret that I am not an Elon Musk fan. Frequent readers will recognize the hard time I’ve given Tesla’s CEO over the last five years. I won’t list all his, well, let’s call them “foibles,” here — not out of generosity, but because it would take a whole book — but the fact remains that two of Tesla’s successes have changed the automotive world.
The first, of course, is that Tesla put electric vehicles on their road to ascendancy. Some might argue we would have gotten there without Elon Musk. I will not.
