First Drive: 2023 Nissan Ariya e-4orce

This all-wheel-drive SUV was a long time coming, but Nissan's second EV is sure to eclipse the Leaf in popularity.

It was way back in October of 2019 that David Booth reported from the Tokyo Motor Show on an all-new EV concept from Nissan called the Ariya. Four months later I had Nissan Canada EV specialist Francois LeFevre on my Plugged In podcast, and we discussed the Ariya with anticipation of having it available in Canada in less than 12 months.

That turned into more than two years — granted, with a pandemic and C-suite chaos intervening — and this past week I finally had the opportunity to drive the all-wheel-drive Ariya through wine country in Northern California.
