The Quebec International Auto Show acquires the QEVS
After nearly 4 years of collaboration with the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show as co-promoter of the Quebec Electric Vehicle Show (QEVS), the Quebec International Auto Show (QIAS) is now the official promoter and the owner.
As a result, the Quebec City International Auto Show becomes the first Canadian auto show promoter to present an electric vehicle show.
The transaction became official last Thursday and the two organizations are confident that it will be more than beneficial for the future of the Quebec Electric Vehicle Show. For several years now, the Quebec City International Auto Show has demonstrated an open vision with regard to the electrification of transportation and helps to promote innovations in electric vehicles.
“The electric vehicle market is evolving rapidly and is becoming more and more important within the automotive industry. This is one of the reasons that led us to get involved in the organization of the Quebec Electric Vehicle Show from its inception,” says Charles Drouin, General Manager of the Quebec International Auto Show. "The SIAQ has always been a leader in terms of innovation and it went without saying for us to take charge of the organization of the SVEQ in order to continue to contribute to the democratization of the electrification of transport", he continues.
"We are happy to have handed over our involvement in the SVEQ to the team at the Salon International de l'auto de Québec, our partner from the start, and we are confident that they will be able to assume the progress, follow-up and quality of the event," says Luc Saumure, promoter of the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show. “We are of course ensuring a very complete transition so that this event continues to be a must in electric mobility for eastern Quebec,” he adds.
The next edition of the Quebec Electric Vehicle Show is scheduled for fall 2023. Organized entirely by the Quebec International Auto Show, it will satisfy the curiosity of young and old alike in terms of electric mobility!
