VinFast announces Canadian battery pricing for upcoming SUVs
Electric-vehicle manufacturer VinFast has announced Canadian pricing for its battery subscription plans when its first two SUVs go on sale in the second half of 2022.
Unusually for this segment, the Vietnam-based automaker will sell you the vehicle, but you’ll be renting its battery.
Under the rental plans, you get a lifetime warranty on the battery that covers all maintenance and repair costs, and when its charging capacity falls below 70 per cent, VinFast replaces it and is also responsible for recycling it.
