GM's popular 2022 Hummer EV will make its Canadian debut at MEVS 2022
It is at the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show (MEVS) that General Motors will present its Hummer EV 2022 to Canadian consumers for the first time. The craze has been at its height since the unofficial announcement was made !
The 2022 GMC Hummer EV comes in two distinct vehicles:
1. The GMC Hummer EV Pickup - a full-size pickup, comparable in size to the GMC Sierra 1500;
2. The GMC Hummer EV SUV – a full-size pickup truck, comparable in size to the GMC Yukon.
The pickup truck will feature a removable roof, as well as several other new features that weren't present on GMC models.
GM also announces that the GMC Hummer EV will be offered with one, two or even three electric motors, depending on the model chosen by the consumer. The top-of-the-line model will have over 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque, while being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds. Additionally, GM says the truck will offer "incredible on-road and off-road capabilities." »
In an earlier presentation, GM President Mark Reuss also said the vehicle will be "the best" electric pickup on the market.
The GMC Hummer EV will be one of the first vehicles to use GM's Ultium platform, including Ultium battery technology and Ultium drive technology. General Motors has also confirmed that the Hummer EV SUV will introduce the Power Station system, as will the Hummer EV pickup truck.
