All-new Subaru Solterra premieres at SVEM
The highly anticipated Subaru Solterra will be presented to the public for the first time in Canada at the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show.
Scheduled for this year on the market, the Solterra will be the first model in subaru's all-new line of 100% electric vehicles.
From an aesthetic point of view, the Subaru Solterra stands out quite radically from the other models of the Japanese brand. At the front, the SUV sports a solid hexagonal grille and thin, elongated headlights. Several contrasting elements at the wheel arches, bumpers and sills surround the utility to give it an adventurous look, so as not to completely abandon the DNA of Subaru.
Range of 354 km
The Subaru Solterra is powered by two 80 kW electric motors located at the ends of the vehicle. Power rises to 215 horsepower and torque to 248 lb-ft. All-wheel drive will be standard in Canada. The range is estimated at 354 kilometers (220 miles) thanks to a 71.4 kWh battery. Plugged into a fast-charging station, the Solterra can recover 80% of its energy in less than an hour, according to the manufacturer.
Versatile
The 2023 Subaru Solterra offers similar dimensions to the Subaru Forester and just like the latter, it can accommodate five passengers. The ground clearance of 211 mm (220 mm for the Forester) gives it interesting off-road capabilities.
The modular floor of the trunk makes it possible to obtain volumes that vary between 765 and 850 liters. The trunk opening measures 41.3 inches (1,049 mm) and the volume for occupants is 2,710 liters. In addition, roof rails are available as an option.
Several driving aids
Subaru's new electric SUV comes standard with several driving aids, including: automatic braking in the event of a collision, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring system. In addition, the 360-degree camera will be available for the first time at Subaru.
The Subaru Solterra will be sold in 2022 as a 2023 model.
Don't miss the opportunity to come see the all-new Subaru Solterra at svem, which will be held at Montreal's Olympic Stadium on April 22, 23 and 24.
