The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid will be built and sold in Canada
On sale in the U.S. since 2017, the battery-assisted version of the popular SUV finally heads north of the border. Honda will begin selling a hybrid version of the CR-V in Canada, starting with the 2023 model year.
Production of the of the CR-V Hybrid will begin in the company ’ s Alliston, Ontario plant this summer. It ’ s a response, Honda says, to the increasing demands for fuel-saving hybrids.
Honda Chief Executive Officer Jean Marc Leclerc said at a company roundtable with media that a partial retooling has already begun at the 370,000-square-metre Plant 2 assembly site in Alliston.
