The Imperium ET5 in great Canadian premiere at MEVS and QEVS
Imported from China by Imperium Motor Company, this compact SUV with an attractive price and competitive range will be presented as a Canadian premiere at the Electric Vehicle Shows in Montreal and Quebec.
Imperium Motor Company is a subsidiary of DSG Global which is based in Surrey, south of Vancouver. This company describes itself as a specialist in the marketing of affordable electric vehicles. “Our goal is to import electric vehicles made in China to Canada and the United States. It has a lot of products: we have electric buses, trucks, vans, pick up trucks, low speed vehicles, but the most exciting thing for most people these days is is our SUV, the ET5,” said Mr. Christian Dubois, President of Imperium Motor Canada.
The price is estimated at $ 37,995 for the entry-level model LV0 which offers a 56 kWh battery for a range of 401 km according to European standards and at less than $ 45,000 that of the high-end model LV2 which offers, meanwhile, a 72 kWh battery for a range of 520 km. “We want to make sure our vehicles qualify for government incentives in Quebec, we could therefore end up with a price of $ 24,995 after subsidies. That would be a more than aggressive price for a vehicle a little larger than a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV", concluded Mr. Dubois.
