2022 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV coming to Canada late next year
But the popular 7-seat plug-in hybrid will debut in its home market of Japan first.
If you stack up the 2020 data, the Outlander PHEV comes out the nation’s top-selling plug-in-hybrid SUV, so any details on the next version are clearly worth sharing.
The outgoing model is motivated by a 2.4L gas-powered engine good for 126 horsepower and 149 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 70-kW electric motor mounted to the rear axle. Expect that same setup to appear again, only tweaked for the aforementioned “improved motor output.”
