Workhorse starts production of its all-electric delivery van
Ohio-based commercial electric vehicle maker Workhorse, announced this week that it started production of its NGEN-1000 all-electric delivery van.
Workhorse is probably better known within the EV community for its plug-in electric W-15 pickup truck, but it’s also starting to put its new electric N-Gen van on the road.
The company says that the new N-Gen electric van has a range of up to 100 miles (160 km) on a single charge, which should be enough for most delivery routes.
It has a 6,000 pound carrying capacity and is available in four cargo sizes: 250, 450, 700 and 1,000 cubic feet.
This week at their Midwest plant, Workhorse began production of the 1,000 cubic foot model.
Stephen S. Burns, CEO of Workhorse, has some great ambitions for the vehicle, which he believes will “change the business of delivery as we know it.”
