As we look ahead, that situation is changing rapidly. The lineup of electric vehicles — available today or in the manufacturing pipeline and earmarked for Canadian buyers — is growing by the day. Mainstream legacy automakers, early EV pioneers and emerging startups are rolling out emissions-free electric vehicles in every category — compacts, crossovers, performance cars, SUVs and pickups. Some traditional car makers have even committed to a complete changeover to battery electric in the coming years.
