Hyundai releases details of 2020 IONIQ Electric

Hyundai’s 2020 IONIQ Electric will start at $33,045US for the SE model and $38,615US for the Limited model. The automaker has revealed a number of improvements over previous models, including 36 percent more energy storage capacity and 37 percent more driving range .

Launch of a Pilot Plant to Manufacture European Batteries for Electric Vehicle

During French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to the Saft Nersac plant near Angoulême, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Total, through its affiliate Saft, and PSA with Opel, are announcing their plan to combine their know-how to develop EV battery manufacturing activity in Europe. To that end, the partners intend to establish a joint venture named Automotive Cell Company (ACC).

Canada’s largest city has approved a plan to reach 100 per cent zero emissions from personal vehicles by 2050

Toronto’s city council voted Thursday to adopt a comprehensive strategy for the integration of electric vehicles into the city fabric. The strategy, which was prepared by Dunsky Consulting, outlines 10 key actions the city can take to make 100 per cent of the city’s passenger light-duty vehicles zero-emission by 2050.
